We're rolling out secure End-to-End Encrypted (E2EE) voice and video calls for DMs, along with a massive upgrade to profile customization. You can now add avatar decorations, profile effects, custom statuses, an "About Me" bio, and securely link your external social accounts!
We have officially introduced voice and video calls for personal direct messages (DMs)! To maintain the highest standard of privacy, we have built this system to be peer-to-peer and fully client-side encrypted. This means our underlying WebRTC architecture encrypts all data flowing through it by default—ensuring your conversations remain completely secure and private without ever being intercepted by a TURN server or media gateway.
Alongside secure calls, we have completely upgraded profile customization to give you more ways to express yourself. Users can now equip custom avatar decorations in their profiles
Users now can also add about me section
Which will be visible when a profile is beign clicked.
We've also introduced custom statuses. You can now set a custom emoji and text status to let your friends know what you're up to. can be configured to automatically clear after a custom time range.
Lastly, we have introduced Social Connections! You can now securely verify external accounts and display these connections on your profile. For now, we support linking your YouTube, GitHub, X (Twitter), Twitch, Bluesky, and even a custom domain verification. More integrations will be coming soon!
